Kiks-Racing FAQ
Welcome to the Kiks-Racing FAQ. Here you can see frequently asked questions and our answers:
Do the racers require licensing or registration in Germany?
The racers do not require registration or licensing. Since they meet all the requirements of the road traffic regulations, they may be moved like a normal bicycle or e-bike.
How fast can my child go with the Racer?
The electric motor of the racer can support the child up to a maximum of 25 km/h. It is possible for an adult to reduce the assistance to 10 km/h in no time at all. This cannot be reversed by the child afterwards without special knowledge.
How long does it take to assemble a racer and can it be purchased already assembled?
In about 3 days you have assembled the racer. Because the assembly is mainly done with screws, the assembly is easy to master even for laymen. If this is too much effort for you, you can also have the Kiks Racer delivered to your home already assembled. For this purpose, please contact us via the imprint.
Where can I test drive the Racer?
Currently, the Racer can be test-driven at our workshop location in Hamburg, Germany. You can make an appointment for a free 60-minute test drive with just a few clicks on the button at the top of our page. We are looking forward to your visit!
What protective equipment must my child wear when riding a Kiks-Racer?
A normal bicycle helmet is sufficient to ensure safety. Other protective equipment does not have to be worn, but can be added as desired. The Kiks racers are inherently designed for maximum safety while riding through smart construction and additional padding.
How long does the built-in battery last?
The built-in power battery has been specially selected for the Kiks-Racer and has a range of about 50 km when fully charged.
